Joseph Malcolm Carson was born June 22, 1901, in Enniskillen, County Ulster, Ireland. He received his commission as ensign in the U.S. Navy in 1925 and advance through ranks to rear admiral on July 1952. He served as commander of the U.S.S. Valley Forge from October 1950 to August 1951. Carson died on May 6, 1991, in Pensacola, Florida. From the description of Carson, Joseph M.
